Meet Kim Town

Kim Town, APRN, has joined Coastal Women’s Wellness!!!

​

For the past 28 years she has worked for Lee Health caring for adolescent and women's health issues across the lifespan. To say we are lucky to add such incredible experience to our team is an understatement. Dr. Ward was fortunate enough to work alongside Kim during her years at Lee Health and saw first hand what a gift she is to women everywhere. She truly has a heart of gold and SO much wisdom, and every one of her patients and former partners can attest to this.

Kim’s devotion to women's health care began when she was called to help out in labor and delivery while working in newborn special care nursery. It was love at first birth!! Many years and deliveries later she enrolled in the Women's Health Nurse Practitioner program, graduating summa cum laude from Vanderbilt University. Since then her passion for general gynecology and truly taking care of a woman for life was realized.

In addition to her advanced practitioner degree she holds the following certifications:

* Board Certified Diplomat by The American College of Lifestyle Medicine

* Post Graduate Certification in Colposcopy by ASCCP

* Critical Care Obstetrics by Thomas Jefferson University

 

Her son Spencer still lives in Fort Myers. Her daughter Nicole and son-in law Luke, live outside Washington DC. Most of her spare time is consumed by a 10 pound chihuahua named Penelope as well as 3 very needy cats in her family. She currently serves in youth program of her church. She also enjoys a good crime drama, Lego set, and all things Star Wars.

She is looking forward to slowing the pace down at Coastal, spending more time with each patient, as well as fostering an interest in holistically managing some complex topics such as PCOS and sexual health.
